What's In A Name...
Our name is very near and dear to our hearts, very personal and celebrates our love of 1940s vintage beauty, glamour and history along with the strength and resilience of women during WW2.
We are often asked what 'WarBaby' means and where the name comes from. 'WarBaby' is a nick-name our founder's Dad gave her when she was young because of her obsession with the war era. It stuck with her, her entire life and was the obvious choice for the name of our company when the time came!
Though there was nothing glamorous about war, we are constantly inspired by the determination and the creativity of the women who had no choice but to walk into a terrifying reality. With almost everything going toward the war effort, women had to become creative with their beauty routines and fashion! Being strong yet holding onto their femininity is what kept them going!
"VICTORY RED represented SO MUCH MORE than a red lip colour! It represented the fierce determination and courage of a generation of women who would pave the way for our future!" - Vanessa Hernandez-Munoz

About Our Product...
We are a Canadian company based in Alberta, Canada, providing a natural, multi-benefit line of skincare and cosmetics free from synthetic additives, formulated by a global beauty expert.
Crafted from nature's purest ingredients, our product pays homage to the resourcefulness and grace of women who thrived under extraordinary circumstances. Just as they turned to their creativity and the natural world to meet their needs, we blend nourishing grass fed tallow with carefully chosen botanicals to create a clean and effective skincare product!
Our loose eye pigment collection contains 24 gorgeous, buttery, loose shimmers to choose from, ranging from neutral to bright! Wet or dry applications and formulated without the yucky stuff!
NO talc, NO bismuth oxychloride, NO parabens, NO FD and C colourants, NO phthalates.
All ingredients are sourced locally and all product is manufactured in-house.
DID YOU KNOW: Women during World War II used tallow-based products as moisturizers and skincare remedies, especially due to shortages of commercial beauty products! Tallow, being a natural fat, was a common ingredient in homemade or basic skincare solutions because it provided hydration and helped to protect the skin! With many beauty and luxury items rationed or unavailable during the war, women often turned to simple, natural and locally available resources. Tallow was used to create balms, creams and salves to keep skin moisturized and soft!
Its compatibility with human skin (as it closely resembles the composition of our own sebum) made it a practical and effective option for skincare during this period of austerity.
